QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a ''Sales Project Engineer'' for our global business partner operating in machinery manufacturing and located in İstanbul.


Job Description:

  • Identifying 80 opportunities at their Tiers Customers and specially our suppliers related  to core products core competencies that require fast actions  
  • Working closely with senior leadership and operations; leveraging local market knowledge to focus  on growing core products and introduce new ones applying an “outside in” discipline with  meaningful $/Car, value proposition and a sustainable differentiation 
  • Nurturing customer relationships that provide insight and a landscape where the company has a competitive  advantage through our “cradle to grave” relationships 
  • Together with the Key Account Managers he/she supports strategic planning including  comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to understand the market niche, product  development and penetration opportunities for the company.
  • Market analysis and project acquisition (strategic focus)  
  • Managing the core product project at the customer and inside the company
  • Being the technical contact to the customer  
  • Identification of customer requirements (pain points) and involvement in the  development of products.
  • Realisation of project reviews as well as representation of the project team and the project results  internally and externally in front of customers  
  • Preparation of analyses, key figures and monthly status reports  
  • Responsibility for achieving personal goals for the year.  
  • Communication and best practice with other customer and the company's Innovation team  
  • Engineering concept verification at own account  
  • Project Work (APQP, feasibility, homologation follow up)  
  • Supporting quality issues with customer (design related)  
  • Supporting the company innovation strategies to identify opportunities utilizing the Toolbox  
  • Demonstrating personal effectiveness and leadership that creates a culture of high performance  
  • Nurturing an environment consistent with the company values and culture


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree - B.A. / B.S. from four-year College or University in Business or Engineering, a  master craftsman title or equivalent experience  
  • Experience or a high affinity to Sales and Experience in cold calling  
  • Personal willingness to learn and grow inside of an exciting and challenging industry  •
  • Experience in Engineering and/or project management  
  • Automotive plastic engineering and /or project management experience is a plus – a proven track  record of work with innovative diversified products is desired  
  • Ability to identify potential future products and trends  
  • Exceptional track record of converting identified potentials in differentiated saleable products  • Understanding market trends and customer requirements  
  • Ability to build a strong customer relationship intimacy to the customer  
  • Proven ability to manage complexity and change  
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with experience in communicating  and working with remote regions  
  • Proven ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies along with the  ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team-oriented  environment  
  • Personally driven and motivating others to perform at their best  
  • Quality and cost awareness as well as customer-orientated thinking and acting.  • 80/20 mindset  
  • Willingness to travel; primarily domestic and occasionally Europe-wide
