We are looking for dynamic, pro-active, analytical approached, and self-motivated Occupational Health & Safety Shift Specialist for our project in Develi /Kayseri.

Job Description

We are seeking a “Occupational Health & Safety Shift Specialist” who specializes in the health and safety working culture, following safety programs to keep people healthy and safe. This role involves identifying hazards, guidance for healthy and safe work environment, making risk assessment, work environment surveillance, innovative health and safety activities, building and maintain culture, and cooperation with relevant departments.  

Job Profile

• Being responsible for implementation of occupational health and safety activities at our mine site,
• Promoting and actively engaging employees to occupational health and safety essential principles and accountability,
• Ensuring and controlling the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System plans, procedures and instructions,
• Being in cooperation with all departments for a safe working environment and playing an active role in taking the necessary measures,
• Being responsible for the determine of equipment used in the workplace, planning and implementation of the materials used, making periodic checks of machines, and planning their maintenance,
• Being responsible for determining, using and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety legislation and general safety rules,
• Informing the employees about the health and safety measures that are created as a result of the occupational health and safety risk assessment,
• Conducting and organizing toolbox regularly,
• Being responsible for the investigation of all accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries, and tracking implementation of preventive/corrective measures as required,
• Checking work permits, safety analyzes, locking- tagging, periodical maintenance and measurement works within the scope of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation in the workplace,
• Taking an active role in emergency works as natural disasters, accidents, or fires in the workplace, and following good practices for the contributing to the progress,
• Promoting and actively engaging employees to road safety measures.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in related departments, master’s degree will be plus,
• Minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably within mining or similar industries,
• Being able to adapt to the shift working system,
• Registered as Safety professional as required by Turkish Legislation and has minimum Turkish Safety Certificate of B Class,
• Knowledge in management system of ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management Systems and SEVESO,
• Excellent command of English both written and verbal,
• Professional knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point),
• Working experience in multinational and English-speaking environment,
• Current valid driver license,
• We prefer candidates who reside in Kayseri or Develi district.
