This role will oversee all procurement functions and play a vital role in shaping the organization'ssupply chain. ThePurchasing Managerwill manage a team of 10+ staff and collaborate closely with other department heads and executives to ensure that theprocurement process alignswith the company's strategic goals.

Areas of Responsibility

• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process in a manufacturing setting, including direct and indirect procurement activities and import&customs operations.
• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and support the company's strategic goals.
• Monitor market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

 Specific Requirements Expected:

•  Proven leadership in purchasing roles, demonstrating the ability to lead teams and implement positive changes.
• Strong expertise in developing and refining procurement processes, aligning with internal audit principles and policies, and implementing performance management systems.
• Extensive experience in effectively managing large and diverse teams, demonstrating proficiency in overseeing individuals with varied skills and demographic backgrounds.
• Possess expertise in import and export logistics, effectively managing transportation and customs processes associated with international procurement.
• Leading the initiative to establish a centralized procurement department.
• Proven negotiation skills with suppliers and a track record of enhancing supplier performance.
• Effective communication skills, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate proficiency in handling technical purchases, ensuring the acquisition of specialized goods and services required for manufacturing operations.
• Advanced English language skills, both written and verbal, for effective communication in an international business environment.
