Position Overview:

The Electrical Chief Design Officer will oversee the electrical engineering design team responsible for planning, developing, and executing all electrical aspects of hospital projects.

This includes power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, low voltage systems, and other critical electrical infrastructure.

The role requires strong leadership, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage complex projects to ensure designs are compliant, efficient, and align with the needs of healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical design team in developing comprehensive electrical systems for hospital projects.
• Oversee the design and integration of power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, and low voltage systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA 99, local electrical codes).
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive system integration.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Review and approve electrical designs, calculations, and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure proper implementation and resolve any issues that arise.
• Mentor and develop junior electrical engineers and design staff.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in hospital electrical systems and technologies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design, with at least 5 years focused on healthcare facilities.
• Demonstrated experience in leading design teams and managing large-scale projects.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare-specific electrical systems and their regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
