Job Description
- Implementation of material field strategy as directed by Category Manager.
- Ensure early involvement in assigned material fields & be first point of contact for internal customers and suppliers internationally.
- Conduct RfQ process incl. sourcing decision (according to signature rules) and undertake negotiation. Conclude and manage contracts internationally.
- Check and validate info. for relevant purchasing requisitions.
- Be responsible for KPI achievement for defined markets (mainly DACH + international projects) and material fields
Qualifications
- Business Studies to degree level or equivalent, or purchasing professional qualifications.
- Experienced in buying Professional Services (Marketing Services and Quality Relevant Materials desirable) within a busy purchasing function, and used to working with multiple business units and internal business partners.
- Prepared and able to support all activities, from early involvement with customer, to marketplace and supplier analysis, structuring and managing tenders, tender analysis, negotiation and contract award, ongoing supplier management and responding to customer queries.
- Applied knowledge of Advanced Negotiation Methods. User knowledge in Supplier Relationship Management and on-line Tender/Auction tools.
- Numerate, articulate and IT literate.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and German for business.
- Used to working with Internal Business Partners across multiple business divisions.
- Target driven and customer and quality focussed. Able to convey professionalism, persuasion, enthusiasm, flexibility, honesty and integrity.
- Well-organised, strong communication skills, confident, tenacious, motivated & reliable with the ability to plan and meet deadlines.
